FreezeAhead

A heads-up before freezing nights at the places you park, early enough to disconnect the hose and turn on the heaters.

Coming soon to iPhone and Android.

Why we built it

We live full-time in an RV, and we park somewhere new every week or two. A freeze on the local news doesn’t help when you don’t know which town’s forecast to watch, and a burst water line is an expensive way to find out. So we built an app that watches the forecast where we’re parked and tells us early, while there’s still time to drain the hose and turn on the tank heaters.

How it works

  1. Save up to 5 spots: where you’re parked, the next campground, home. Use your location once, search, or tap the map.
  2. Set your alert line. It starts at 35°F, and a separate Hard Freeze alert at 28°F always comes through.
  3. FreezeAhead warns you hours ahead (6 unless you change it) with how cold it will get, when, and for how long.
